Break Up Walls Inc. (BUW) is seeking to hire Brandit, LLC (Brandit) to redevelop its website, messaging, logo, branding design, and content strategy. The goal of this project will be to create a modern, interactive website that focuses on building recognizable brand systems and style guides that can be implemented across all marketing collateral, as well as an effective user flow for breakingupwalls.org that will generate both engagement from the community as well as grants and donations from patrons.
Brandit is a full-service branding, content strategy and design company that has worked with a wide range of businesses from venture-backed startups to Fortune 500 companies looking to redevelop their online presence.
Our company started over 5 years ago after our founder struggled to get a basic website built. He found that in the world of website development, a large portion of service providers are building websites that are either built on proprietary platforms that lock clients’ into expensive hosting plans, or they are built with hard-coded templates making them extremely difficult to edit by your internal team without coding knowledge.
This motivated us to create a WordPress platform that empowers internal teams to edit their website easily while leveraging a powerful cloud platform and WordPress framework. Our websites combine WordPress’ most widely used page-builder with a validated framework of plugins that are tailored to your business goals. This framework is both easy-to-use and capable of producing some of the most advanced design elements available on the web today. These sites can be built and run on any managed WordPress host, or we also offer fully-managed hosting plans that run on dedicated AWS and Digital Ocean containers which are capable of scaling to millions of monthly users.
Founder, Creative Director & Lead Designer
Braden is a senior UX, UI, & Web designer and content strategist who has worked in a wide range of industries from venture-backed startups in the telemedicine, fintech and cryptocurrency space, to established construction, real estate, and architecture firms as well as Fortune 500 companies. His work has received awards and nominations by well-known design organizations like Awwwards. As founder and lead designer, Braden acts as the creative director and project lead for all projects at Brandit and ScaleWP, an enterprise WordPress development and hosting company.
Principal & Chief Web Strategist
Scott has been building websites and leading successful digital initiatives since the earlier days of the web. Before starting his own firm and eventually partnering Braden on a wide range of enterprise-level projects from large online universities with over 180k unique visitors a month and multinational holdings companies, Scott developed one of the earliest online membership and syndication programs for internationally known comic strips that was distributed through the New York Times, The Washington Post, AOL, CNN, and USA Today as VP of Consumer Marketing and Content at Uclick. Scott oversees all Brandit and ScaleWP accounts and projects and helps combine digital marketing strategy with WordPress development.
Sheela is a senior web developer that has thousands of hours under her belt building everything from learning management systems, to complex API integrations with WordPress and other front-end frameworks. She will lead all complex integrations, custom plugin development, or api integrations for this project.
Becca acts as both a content and account manager for all of our projects at Brandit and ScaleWP. In addition to helping us manage and sort all active projects in our project management system, she also performs important QA, content development and copywriting tasks that help us implement designs and content changes across large web properties.
We use a validated four milestone process for all project engagements. This process is designed to help us dig into the details of your brand and organization during Discovery in order to create the messaging and visual system that captures your brand in a beautiful, high-converting website for breakingupwalls.org.
The two sites should launch within 60-90 days from the initial discovery meeting. Timing is subject to approvals and content being provided in a timely manner.
Statement of Work and Estimates
Price estimates are based on initial objectives and may change as mutually agreed upon tasks and objectives change. Cost estimates and payment schedules are provided in four milestones.

Milestone 1 – Discovery, Wireframing, Branding, Content Strategy and Scope of Work
25% Deposit ($4625) of Total Project Fee is Due to Start Work
Brandit and the BUW will schedule at least two initial conference calls that may be followed by additional phone calls and emails to discuss the core strategy and goals of the branding and design project. During the first milestone Brandit will provide the following services:
Milestone 2: Primary Design and Development Sprint
We’ll begin work after 50% of the total project fee ($9250) has been deposited and we receive final wireframe and branding approval.
Week 2-3 – Design
With the wireframes, content strategy, and logo designs, Brandit will spin up a development server on our platform and begin our initial design and development sprint. During Milestone 2, Brandit will perform the following services:
Weeks 3-4 Site Development, Internal Page Design, Taglines and 3rd Party Integrations & Content Development
Milestone 3: Design Revisions, Copywriting, Speed Optimization, SEO
We’ll begin work after 100% of the total project fee ($13875) has been deposited.
After the initial designs have been sent over you, the next weeks will include revision rounds, speed optimization and SEO. During these weeks, Brandit will provide the following services:
Milestone 4: Website Launch, Google Analytics Configuration, Post-Launch Setup and Training
We’ll begin work after 100% of the total project fee ($18500) has been deposited.

We developed a new website for them from scratch and created custom isometric illustrations and data visualizations to explain how their system reduces their clients operating costs and energy usage.

We worked with them to develop a new logo design, branding, content strategy, copywriting, and website from scratch. We also are also acted as Head of Product and design for their web application, and lead its complete redesign and front-end development. While working with us to redevelop their brand, website, product, and overall content strategy they have closed hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional funding and their valuation doubled from $10m to $20m.

We created a managed WordPress hosting infrastructure on AWS that includes complete staging push-pull functionality. We also created several custom components including dynamic content to create a list of university programs and single sign-on integration with Active Directory.
